Are we allowed to trade exams on this forum?

I read the rules and it says you can't talk about websites doing it. However, are we allowed to do it?

For example if I have an AP exam and I want to trade it for a SAT II Subject Test exam, would it be allowed on the forum?

Thanks. :)

No. You cannot do it on this forum in a public manner.

But you can do it over a PM then? (No websites involved.)

Well nobody can see what you do over PMs. SO there would be no way of regulating it unless one of the participants in the PM complained or something. They can’t even see what you do over PMs even if a website is involved. And btw, technically, it is just as illegal to share websites as just trade tests. But nobody cares if it isnt in public.

Actually, you’re not allowed to trade exams anywhere.

SAT tests are copyrighted material. If you distribute it, you’re breaking the law, pure and simple.

“Actually, you’re not allowed to trade exams anywhere.”

1253729 was just saying how it is ACTUALLY enforced.

Downloading free music is also illegal, you know, but millions of people do it.

Based off of the previous posts, I would assume no. However, that’s also assuming your intent is to avoid breaking the law.

Another important distinction to make is that you are not breaking criminal law unless you make a profit. If you just trade them without making a profit, you are only breaking civil laws. In other words, you aren’t going to jail. The worst CB can do is take you to court and demand you pay them damages for distributing copyrighted material, an action they have not yet taken, to my knowledge, against someone who has not profited from the trading of QAS’s.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer and the above is not legal advice. It may be completely wrong. I take no responsibility for any actions you take based on the above. You should consult your lawyer for legal advice.

They also reserve the right to cancel your scores. That’s been done before.
