Are Wesleyan Decision posted anywhere online?

They sent them out today (thursday) i have called twice in the last three days hoping i will hear otherwise but alas they go out today. I think to NYC they will come either tmrw or saturday. I am dying! I wanna hear. I do not feel confident though. With a 40% increase in applications, my shot seems slim.

A lot of my classmates found out their early decision results today...it's getting me anxious. I'm going to be terrorizing the mailman over the next two days...

wait what?? were they sent out yesterday or today? you're all saying different things!! reading this message board has been the worst possible thing for my nerves. why can't they just post it on a website at an exact time instead of subjecting us to this insane guessing game?!

rower1991, are you a rowing recruit at wesleyan too?

yes but i do not know how much recruiting does at d3 level schools. does anyone know if coaches are allowed to call recruits

I think recruiting has a fair amount of influence, its just not as intense at the DI level, and Wesleyan has a history with rowing and is very good compared to other schools of their size so I think certainly matters.

my grades are not as strong as they need to be if i was applying as a candidate without rowing like i would be getting in for rowing which is what makes me nervous. with d1 schools its okay to do that but i have no idea how it works with d3. does anyone know?

My daughter is a recruited athlete at D III schools. She has received letters, emails and phone calls from coaches as well as official visits. Unlike D I schools, though, she hasn't been able to "sign" early or even been guaranteed admission. What she has seen, also, is that recruiting varies at each D III school. Some coaches seem to get a guaranteed number of slots for kids over a certain academic threshold whereas others merely get to request some academically qualified kids without any guarantee of success. I'll understand the process better after she receives her admissions decisions!

um this maybe kind of off topic but
does Wes fill most of its ED slots with recruited athletes?
just out of curiosity....

I think they take their athletes early but i dont think that means that most of their spots are filled with recruited athletes because they dont have as many spots to offer as other schools so it wouldnt make up for as big of a percentage of the class as at d1 schools. I was told by the coach that i would be supported but nothing was promised which is why i am FREAKING out. Does anyone think any letters will come today?
