Just curious, I was told that you were able to, well at least for my community college, in case you were put in a high school course a.k.a a course you have already taken, that you can just retake the placement test until you are placed in the correct level.

can you do it?

Maybe different colleges have different policies.

At the state college I’m dual enrolled in, some friends of mine had to retake the CPT. I believe you had to wait 60 days, but it could have been 30, I’m not sure.

You’ll probably be able to. I’ve only seen one for sure, so I don’t know about all of them, but MSU’s math placement test can be taken multiple times.

Well my counselor told me that the certain college I am going to says you can re-take it, I have trust in him. I just want to double-check kind of deal here.

When Happykid sat down with the counselor at her community college, and that counselor looked at her test results, the counselor looked Happykid in the eye and said, “I’m pretty sure that you want to re-take this part of the placement exam.” Which she did, and of course she did much better that time so she was able to place into the courses that she wanted.

Find out about the format of the placement exam that your community college uses, and take the time to do any sample exams that you can find for it. Knowing the types of questions on the exam will give you more confidence when you take it.

Good luck!
