Are you applying?

so i was just wondering who is applying to AU ED or RD this year?

I applied RD a few weeks ago. Hoping for SIS

I'll be applying RD.
I love AU! It's one of my top choices.

AU is such a great school... those who are applying RD why didn't u apply early, just interested?

I applied RD a few weeks ago :) And I didn't apply ED b/c finances are an issue (well, as in other schools will offer most likely offer me more money XD My family doesn't qualify for much need based aid) and I also don't like making such a commitment. AU isn't exactly my top choice, either (not my lowest but well, St. John's College holds a special place in my heart, I do admit XD) so... yeah. Heh. XD

^^exactly what she said above.

And I looove St. John's College!! I hope it works out for you there (I won't be applying because cost is an issue and I'll grudgingly admit it's not necessarily the most marketable education--don't want to get crushed if I get in and can't go..).

i applied ED.

cool cool.
does anyone know if they usually tell u before the dec. 31 notification date?

I did RD like a month ago except my teacher recs are not in...I didn't do ED because I did ED for another school. But if i don't get into my ed school, i'm going to AU.

I'm applying RD for the School of Communications this week. Little nervous...

I'm applying RD...I don't really want to go (already got into Pitt Honors, and I see that as a better fit for me), but I already sent AP scores and stuff out, so I figure why not complete my investment...

I am applying RD

RD. It's not my first choice, but if they give me money and if I don't get into my top 1-2 choices, I would love AU.

Don't wanna sound like a snob but AU is my safety. I visited and really liked the school but its not one of my top few choices mostly because of the fact that nearly everyone is studying political science/law/international studies and the other programs don't look too appealling. I applied early to Vanderbilt and I am gonna probably send out my RD application to AU this week (just found out it was free online so no sense in waiting).

haha safety.. that's like my dream school due to those stupid things called SATs and the fact that I'm having a difficult time breaking 1200.
but my GPA is really good and i'm in like 1234234982374 ec's.
argg stupid SATs. still waiting on that early decision thing.
i heard last year they let some people know mid december!

what did you get on the sat's?

SAT I: 1490 (760CR, 730M) or 2220 (730W)
SAT II's: 800 (US History), 710 (Math Level 1)

630 verbal, 630 writing, 530 math :(
i seriously hate math, i can't get it, i always freeze.
so that's 1160 on the old scale, and 1790 on the new.
i took the sat a final time on dec 2nd and i hope to get atleast a 670-700 on the verbal, something better than a 63o on writing ( i really don't care, just hope it doesn't go down)
and 580 for math, but i doubt it so i'd be happy with a 550.

overall i just want my scores to break 1200 and i would be extactic.

isn't it funny to hear a person on these forums be happy with anything below a 700?

It's actually refreshing. Don't judge yourself by the ridiculous standards that people on this board set. Your scores will likely be good enough to get into AU so thats all you should care about.

i think you will be fine hopefully you will get in ED
