So are you guys already working on your applications?
I am thinking of starting those that are available like the common app and etc

<p>Might as well do what you can over the summer. That way, when it's the end of November and all of your friends are running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to write a great essay and retake the SATs and remind that one forgetful teacher to write a rec, you can sit back and relax.</p>
<p>I've been receiving paper copies of apps (the common app + supplements for various schools), and I've been filling out the blanks on those as a way to gather information (I'll fill them out for "real" online). I've been doing this with MIT's app from last year too (downloaded it; this year's app isn't available yet). As far as actual submissions go, I haven't done anything.</p>
<p>I registered for the Common App online, because I'm planning on doing that one first, as it's going to my less-preferred schools, so I'd like to get a feel for applications before going for the big ones. Haven't actually started any, though, because I'm going on some big family trips where I'll be bored out of my mind with nothing but a laptop, music, and nature to keep me company. Should probably be getting a move on, though. Hmm.</p>
