well, i'm a senior who's already eighteen and i think i just shot up by over an inch. maybe more. people who used to be clearly taller than me i am now clearly taller than them. people who were like way taller than me are now like my height. there are like barely any girls that are taller than me now. i'm about 5'9" now i think from my own measurements. however, there are people who say they are "almost 6 feet" and yet i'm the same height (or taller) than them now. go figure. either people love to exaggerate their height or i really suck at measuring myself (which is definitely a possibility, but i'm leaning more towards the former).

i only recently started growing, that’s why i’m so excited about it. like, before this past month, i probably hadn’t grown since like freshman year or something.

but my dad grew in college apparently so i guess this isn’t totally unexpected. anyway, you can still grow =)

^ lol me too. I’m tiny, like 5’3 but I’m learning to love it. I’d rather be a short girl than an insanely tall girl. Life is just easier. (kidding, kind of)

5’ 11 1/2 and I’m pretty sure I stopped growing for the most part. I’m a guy and I’m 15, so it’s weird. I know for sure my feet stopped growing (I’m size 9.5-10).

^ hm. i don’t think feet not growing discounts the ability to grown vertically though. like, i don’t think my feet have grown at all from the beginning of my spurt to now.

Girl speaking here. I haven’t grown since 7th grade so I doubt I will grow any more. If anything I will probably shrink with age. Which doesn’t sound so bad actually, I’ve hated being tall all my life… heh, I’m not even that tall, barely 5’7 or so, but everyone here is so short, makes me feel awkward 3:

5’11 and I’m still growing, although slowly. I think I’ll hit 6’ by the end of the year for sure, and based on family history I may continue growing slowly until I’m 20 or so…

Well, I got trapped in logarithmic wiki-tabs looking this up.

So far I’ve learned that very few men and virtually no women grow after age 18, that very tall people may have trouble due to increased lag in nerve signals to and from their extremities (no kidding), that shorter people tend to live longer but also have higher suicide rates and lower contentedness rates, that the average height of people in the Netherlands is over 6 feet, and that height is of debatable advantage in

So like, in middle school, I was taller than my two brothers, Edward and David, who are 2 and 3 years younger, respectively.
As I neared the end of 8th grade, Edward was around my height!

Now, we’re all in the same high school. I’m a senior, Edward’s a sophomore and David is a freshman.

I’m 5’6", Edward is 5’8" and David is 5’6.5"!!!

WHADDAFUUUUU!?!?

I feel really short compared to the “regular” adults I see on the subway everyday.
Plus, people feel the need to compare me to my brothers nearly all the time!

:/

I don’t know why my brothers suddenly grew at the end of middle school while I kept a slow and steady growth rate.
I don’t want to go into college this short, and I sincerely hope I can at least get to 5’9"!
