Association of Short Kids (ASK)

Hey. Lol, I just made the whole ASK thing up. I'm pretty sure nothing like that exists. Anyways, I am short :(. It's not so big a deal that I'm worrying about it day and night, as I'm 5'3 which isn't THAT bad, but I want to grow. I'm 15 and I'm one of the shortest kids in highschool. Most freshmen are taller than me :(. Anyways, how tall are you guys, and what diamonds can you shed on the whole vertically challenged predicament?

I know, for the most part, that it is mostly based on genetics, but I have short parents, and I want to do whatever I can to reach my max or go past :). I haven't grown for a whole year, then in the last three weeks, I suddenly grew about a cm, and I'm hoping I'm starting up again. Lol.

drink your milk! my mom is 5'2"- 5'3"ish and my dad is 5' 6"ish. im 5' 9" and a 16 year old girl. anything is possible! shoot for the stars!

im only 5'8.
havent grown for a while...

I'm 6'1" and have surpassed both of my parents' heights (hopefully you will too!). However, ideally I would still like to grow another 2-3 inches.

I haven't grown in a while though. I might be done growing, but who knows?

I'm 5'5" (male). Yay! Most of the eighth graders are taller than me, and I'm a senior. Mwahaha.

I think you really just have to make up for the shortness with a confidence boost. I would never sacrifice my good qualities for height. And I just tell myself that there's no reason why taller people should be considered better, so I don't feel inferior because of my lack of height.

You're all so tall compared to me =/

I'm 4'9"

Better it is to be 4' 9" than 5' 11.75". Those people amuse me.

lmao. Yes, well, at least my boyfriend and I look amusing together. He's 6'3".

Plus, there's nothing better than being a senior and having 7th graders think you're "one of them."

Napoleon Complex FTW

I'm 5'3" female sophomore. I haven't grown since I was in fifth or sixth grade. I might have grown a fourth or so of an inch, but not enough to really change my measurements at the doctor.

I didn't even surpass my mother.

^ haha you're the same as me 5'3'' sophomore, and haven't grown since 8th grade. Actually I think 0.25 inches but I don't think that really counts. I haven't surpassed my mother either but my younger sister has...Nor have I gained a pound since 7th...yeah..weird.

^ Same here. Same weight 125. If I were to actually exercise I might be less, but this is, according to my doctor (just went a few weeks aga :)) is my "healthy weight".

eh...i'm 86...yeah MUST gain weight...although I did grow 2 inches without gaining a pound..strange

^ Whoa. 86? Isn't that underweight. Whatever though. If you have muscle tone that's a different story.

My mom is convinced she is a good weight...95 and 5'4.5". I think she's insane, and needs to stop smoking. BUT that's just me.

im a guy and 95. 5'8

lol........

^ uh what? that can't be true, you like wouldn't exist haha

lol that's pretty skinny. I'm 6'1", 135 lbs and still skinny as a toothpick.

yeah..but no one has ever commented that I'm too skinny and my doctor is okay with it so I'm fine. Yeah maybe I don't look that skinny?

Hmm. That's odd. lol

Whatever works though I guess.

I have a friend who is a sophomore and HE is 5'3".
In middle school he was 4'11". I'm kind of dissappointed because I know he's going to be taller than me, but oh well. I guess it's good for him.

meadow 36 I was referring to the guy who said he's 5'8" and 95 lbs.

5'3" and 86 isn't bad. I know plenty people who have statures pretty similar to that.
