1 Rice
2 1000000
3 Everything
4 Nothing
5 F*** no
(I think most of my classmates would echo these sentiments)

1. JHU
2. **Meh, its okay. 7.5 at most. (very very very stressed out)
**3. **campus is really pretty, really dedicated administrative ppl, great support staff, faculty dedicated to achieving excellence, foods good, has improved since last year, georgian style architecture, i love it. ppl are highly motivated about what they want to do with their lives. very engaging and challenging by design
**4.
endowment sucks; not great relative to peers, lack of school pride, study robots, lots of grade conscious premeds. Brody is leaving. :( sad face.
5. for my intended majors? hell no.

EDIT: Maybe I would have gone to Duke if not JHU. ;0) Who wouldn't want to meet EAD in real life?

Chicago

I'll give it about a 9, considering I've grown consistently happier with how this school works over the years

An outstanding faculty, with good access for undergrads

I love Hyde Park, but it can feel like a bit of a prison, especially in the winter

I don't know if Chicago is America's best school, but by now it's certainly my favorite.

Carnegie Mellon (Tepper Business)

9 before I really experienced it, now a full out 10! Yay jobs!

Absolutely amazing job opportunities and networking. Put me on Wall St.

Easy to miss out if you don't reach out and fully experience what it has to offer.

No, very happy with my experience and I can't wait to go back in August!

Yale

11?

Enthusiastic, friendly, non-competitive students and a brilliant, accessible faculty

Uhhh...late at night they close most of the gates on Old Campus so you have to walk all the way around to get in?

Not a chance...Yale is the BEST SCHOOL in the world.

University of Chicago

My scale goes to 11, I don't know about yours ;-). But in all honestly, I would say that my happiness fluctuates between a 7 and a 10, so even at my saddest here I'm still very happy. In high school I would have put the bounds between a 3 and a 7, for comparison.

I love the fact that I can just be myself here. Being yourself is a surprisingly hard thing to be.

I wish more people took advantage of our non-standard majors, like classics, religious studies, etc.

Never ever ever, though I do sort of fantasize about going to college again, and this time choosing another school just to see how it might be different.

Northwestern

6-8

Lots of smart, fun-loving kids with a great town next to a great city; so many academic opportunities for those who seek them out; two beaches; great balance between social and academic activities

North/South campus divide; theatre majors; ugly concrete library; heartless pre-med professors; winter

Probably but not 100 percent

Georgia Tech

8 (would be 9 if I didn't get suspended freshman year)

Good school with a Big Div I Athletic program

Guy:Girl ratio is not in my favor

Sometimes I wish I'd of gone to Texas.

UC Berkeley

9

Amazing faculty, easy to make great connections for later on.

Expensive housing, but manageable (on and off campus)

Another college for Astrophysics? Not bloody likely!

UC Berkeley

10

It's very engaging, surrounding environment and academics alike.

It sometimes feels impersonal, due to its size

Not at all. I kind of wish I had applied elsewhere, just since I now know how awesome it is to live away from home in an urban area. But I love Berkeley.

Middlebury

10+

the people, we have so many amazing people that are doing so much for the world (and will do more) (but i love almost everything else too)

honestly, i kind of miss BIG football games with the band that brought everyone together. (football was a religion at my high school)

never ever
