I’m still in high school but I’m thinking of going into dental school in the future. My parents want me to go to a state university, because it’s closer than the UC, but I don’t want that to lower my chances of getting into dental school. So does the university you went to make a difference to dental school?
Slightly. Admissions in dental school care more about the grades you received and the classes you took in college vs what college you went to. Sometimes, attending an Ivy for your undergraduate years could slightly boost your dental school application, but not by much. As long as your GPA and test scores for the dental school are high, you would be fine.
