Are you as pumped as I am...to TRANSFER!!!!

Ok, so after experiencing a painful round of college rejections (applying as a frosh) I am prepared to work my butt off in community college so I can prove my competence and transfer to a school that will make everyone green with envy.

Anyone else ready to get their transfer on?? Where do you want to transfer to? Where are you transferring from? Anyone with advice about transferring??

Hooray for transfers!

:)

I was jacked about transferring when I first attended my community college. Now that I got accepted to UCLA (still waiting on Berkeley) I am very excited. Best of luck to you man, work your butt off.

wait, if you're a high school senior, do yourself a favor and give your "current"
college a shot before deciding that you want to transfer (unless its a cc obviously)

BK, the OP specifically said, "I am prepared to work my butt off in COMMUNITY college." READING COMPREHENSION, PEOPLE! Jeez.

And to the OP:
Good luck! Maintain that enthusiasm and drive, and I'd say you're definitely bound for greatness.

Awww...thanks for the encouragment and best of luck to everyone!!! :)

sorry, 2:00 am, econ midterm, my b

but still, the OP shouldn't be so concerned with making people "green with envy"

BK my "green with envy" comment was facetious. Perhaps a better way of saying it is I would like to attend a school I can be proud of. :)

I cannot wait lol, I just want this summer to be done with so I can mooooovvvveeeeeeee far away!

I'm happy because there are only two people from my high school who went to a better university than I am transferring to. That was coming from many teachers and a vice principal telling me I wouldn't make it in college. Not that I even think about high school or care anymore, but it makes me happy to know that I'm doing good and if I ever see them again I can make them look bad! :D

thats exciting! where are you transferring to?

Transferring to UMiami.. its no Ivy but I'm really happy to be there. It is everything I've been looking for in a Uni.

UMiami is totally cool... congrats man!

woo! I'm pumped lol.

I'm not allowing myself to get pumped. :(

Some days I wake up and I can already picture myself there, screaming as I get the envelope, passive-aggressively rubbing it in the faces of some douches I know, posting the results here and basically having a mini-orgasm every time I say 'Stanford'.

Others I wake up with this vivid certainty that I'm rejected and that my application has already been deleted.

Undisclosed: Are you my long lost twin brother?

Undisclosed-I'm sorry you feel that way...this college stuff is so stressful. Best of luck with Stanford!

undislosed, I'm a senior in h.s. planning to transfer there, I haven't even applied there yet and I am already suffering the same symtomps you are having!

Its ok I know what its like!

supindy, just letting you know your chances are bad (even if you do get a 4.0) :D

haha true burgler09, everyone has a bad when the acceptance rate is only 1.5%! But i have been preparing myself for facing the rejection two years down the road, so its all good.
