Who's excited ot transfer to UCLA?

Probably gonna be going to UCLA this fall. Who else? Ready to finally get out of community college and into a major university?

Hellll YES

2012 UCLA College Confidential PARTY!!!

Congrats on your acceptances! I too am super excited to leave community college and start this new chapter at UCLA! I actually stopped by campus today to pick up a couple UCLA shirts to rock  Bruins ftw

Man, I got into UCLA and all but I really don’t understand the “bruins wooooo school spirit~*~” thing.

Can anyone explain it to me? Is it like a way to advertise how smart you are without looking like a snob?

For me, it’s about being proud of my accomplishment and part of the experience. Having school spirit, for me, is taking part in the UCLA community. I feel as though I have accomplished a lot for myself, especially from where I began at community college, and I want to take in and be part of the entire university experience.
As the saying goes, to each their own. You don’t have to understand it, just be you  Congrats on your acceptance!

I love ucla and really wanna declare myself as a bruin, but all I hear is negative, just talked to 2 Ucla alumni who said they would’ve chosen Cal over LA if they could(W tee F)

well i would have chosen cal too since im a math and physics major and berkeley is more well known for that and i could probably have gotten more or better research there. But UCLA is still a great school, I wouldn’t be worried, it looks like a beautiful campus.

^not helping Der3k! I’m trying to convince myself not to go to Cal right now. Lol

I’m sure every school has those students who hated their school and wish they had gone somewhere else. There’s probably Cal students who wish they would have gone to LA instead.

Honestly, for those on CC who have been here for the long haul (i’ve only been on for about 3-4 months) we deserve to get super hyped about getting admitted to such a great school.

im very stoked to go to ucla. it has been my dream school since ever.

Just submitted my SIR to LA today  It didn’t make me pay though and I thought that was weird. When I click the review your response tab I get two choices and one is Status of Acceptance. Is that normal?

cheddar can you screenshot? mine doesn’t

I click the “Review your Response” button and this is what my page looks like

It told me paying was not required, but I did get to choose a ucla email and also set up emergency contact info

Ohh you gotta wait 2 business days for it show a check mark. on myucla, it states that in your admission profile tab. don’t worry about it :)

Your Statement of Intent to Register has not yet been received. Please allow 2 working days from the time you submitted your SIR for it to be reflected on this page.

Oh I see! Thanks Philo, where’d you get that notice? It hasn’t emailed me or anything that’s why I thought it was strange. Also, do they just charge you for the SIR into your first quarter billing statement?

It says I’m not required to pay the fee. I guess it’s because we’re considered low income? It’s like a waiver. For the notice, go into MYUCLA and then click on the ‘admissions’ link. It should say it on the way top

Thanks so much  I’ll see if the status changes and I get a check mark in the next 2 days

No problem.

Oh, I forgot to ask… do you know what it’s supposed to say or look like after they receive your SIR on myUCLA? ><
