I've studied vocabulary (direct hits) and have been reading the NYTIMES to improve my reading. I havent practiced math yet but I got a 700 last time, so im hoping that I can improve a little. What about you guys?

For all sections I used the xiggi method. Take as much time as you need on the practice test and aim for accuracy. Sure enough I went from a low s.c. score to around 16-19 which is good for me and also from around -10 to -3 to -5 on writing.

Math is actually easy to improve. It’s all about practice. You may want to start doing more practice tests. Reading progress is slow, but worth it. You will use it the rest of your life. Good LUck.

I’ve been prepping here and there over the summer, but I’ve been on a hiatus since school started.

Starting next week, I’ll be waking up early every morning to do one section + review, as well as read some Economist :). I don’t have time after school due to the plenitude of homework our AP teachers impose on us :(.

I have been covering about 15 pages a night of BB2 in order to get a good SAT score. I also just ordered Gruber’s SAT book to help me with the math, becuase that seems to my biggest failing. I have to get atleast a 610 on the math section to get into the engineering department of my school of choice.

I;ve done 20 practice tests in the past 2 months, i need a 2300

@ wolfd:

word. or even higher (at least for me).

@ wolfd and JamesChang, were are you guys planning to apply?

absolutely nothing lol
other than maybe 8 hours of sleep the day before

@ JamesChang, I would like higher than a 2300 too, but a 2300 will suffice.
@ Joker, I will apply to the lower ivy league schools but if I do well on SAT, I will try Yale.

So far I’ve done 3 SAT practice tests and just a little grammar review.

@ wolfd what you get before?

…lolwut?

I finished a Woody Allen at Carnegie Deli in NYC.

I’m finishing up the practice test sections in my “blue book” as well as learning new vocabulary words.

@joker - not good enough
