Are you the "smart one" in your group of friends?

i’m the stupid one.
hahahaha
but seriously, yeah.
everyone was taking calc ab or bc and i haven’t even taken precalc yet.
some of them probably were probably annoyed that I got into ucsd and am going to ucsd with them
lollll
but heyy that shows how much ec’s matter

Many people at my school see me as smart, and I have done many things to prove it, but my SAT I scores don’t. Moreover, one of my friends is perceived as smart, even though lazy at times, and I acknowledge that since he has taken higher level math classes and score a higher SAT score without studying than I did.

Ha ha, yeah. I’m always tagged as ‘the smart one’ or everyone’s like ‘you know everything!’ which I don’t but hey.

Smart fail. grammar anyone/

In terms of innate intellectual capacity, I’m probably the smartest person I know, both in real life and on the web community, which means, yes, I’m probably the smartest one here.

.

LOL JKJK, or am I? ;]

Haha yes! In every class people always ask me to be on their team if we have some game or competition and I’m not saying that to be vain or anything; it’s true!

Although sometimes I must admit that it gets a little annoying  The only reason I seem “smart” is because I actually do all my homework and enjoy learning new things. Also I don’t really like this high standard all my classmates hold me to because then if I get something wrong, they’re like =O OMG! lol

Usually it’s all of my friends, we’re just a group of traveling smarties. But we’re all lazy, and usually 4 or 5 of us get to school at 7 to do all of our homework, projects included. The only things we take seriously in school are AP exams and…AP exams. :p

Yes.
In both groups of friends (home and university).

At home, all of my friends are slackers who graduated either last or close to last in their class (if they graduated at all). At my U, my friends are smart but I’m still by far the “smart” one.

I’m the one who lacks common sense and can’t tell left from right but pwns at math and science. So no.

Not sure. Some of my friends are pretty egotistical when it comes to school and think that they’re realllllly smart, when they’re really average. But I think my friends view me as the average one who is in a lot of “advanced” classes.

Yes. For the most part. I consider one of my friends and I pretty much even. We’re both physics people and have more than once got into yelling matches about possible dimensions and cosmology in public. People look at us like we’re *****ing nuts.

I love my “average” friends though. They are usually funnier

My best friends are not “academically inclined” and they’re so much fun :] I don’t like talking about grades, test grades, colleges, SAT’s when I hang out with friends. Socially smart > book smart.

^ Same here. If any of them mention something about what college they want to go to, I kind of shy away. I don’t like putting people down though so I might just chime in with a “oh I visited ____, it was really nice”

Not really, most of the time. It depends though-- people who’ve known me for awhile tend to think of me as “smarter.” My group of friends know what I’m capable of. There’s usually always another person in the class that people see as the “smart one.” I don’t flaunt my grades etc.

My friends are asians, but I’m generally the smarter one, not to be pretentious or anything…

That’s a tough one. If we’re comparing standardized test scores, then perhaps I might have an edge. Sometimes, I feel like luck factors into that.

The problem with me is that I’m not consistent with my work, so my grades are sometimes are wildly erratic, especially this year. Sometimes, that’s a good thing when my average for a given class is really high one marking period, and then it’s a problem when it’s much lower in the next. My friends, on the other hand, are much more consistent with their grades year-around.

To put it simply, yes.

All of my friends are basically AP Kids but they consider me the “smart one” because my GPA is like .01 above theres.

Dumb thing is, I’m not even that smart, I just work really hard haha.

The one smart kid that everyone considers on my “caliber” happens to hate me. We’ve never actually talked.

Don’t you love HS?! haha

Lol. I’m not even the “smartest” one in my school. I’m a pretty bad honors student. (I don’t cheat, it’s just I forget the homework and I don’t study.) I do pretty good though. I’ve never gotten lower than 4 A’s on my report cards. (we have 6-7 classes). But out of the whole grade, I’m usually the one they talk to for help. I’m a push-over sometimes. I’ve toughened up though! They’ve even spread rumors about me being the smartest person in school… (I’m not)

I’m considered the “Smart One” but i dont think that i’m as smart as everyone makes me out to be…

When i’m in groups with other people who are not my friends i’m the quiet one with the answers

not anymore, once the news of my 2 in macroeconomics and 3 in microeconomics come out.
