<p>I'm planning on majoring in Psychology and minoring in criminology, neuroscience, or sociology. I'm kind of thinking that I eventually want to become a Forensic Psychologist (but i'm not sure about this yet) I want to know which school has the better undergraduate psychology major program. I know about Barret at ASU but i'm pretty sure that I will not get in. My ACT score is pretty high, but i'm from out of state and my grades are only average. :/</p>
<p>So without being in Barret, which school is better in the psychology and social sciences area in general?</p>
<p>I’m a UA Alum but live in Phoenix where ASU resides and you really can’t go wrong academically with either school. My niece is a Psychology student at the UA is seems very happy but UA just doesn’t have much of a criminal justice program. ASU does very well in their CJ program. </p>
<p>Look at the other factors involved in the decision and choose based on that because you’ll do well at either school. Good luck!!</p>

<p>both are on the same academic level but people that goto university of Arizona have higher stats…Arizona State is MEGA monster large though compared to University of Arizona
If you are out of state why bother applying to universities in arizona ? Just goto your instate flagship…I am sure its better than University of Arizona or Arizona State</p>
<p>Not all states’ flagships are necessarily better than UA or ASU. Both seem to have reasonably respectable graduate psychology rankings (and not too different from each other). But since psychology is a popular major, class sizes are likely to be on the large side.</p>
<p><a href=“Class Search”>Class Search; indicates that for fall 2013, the main Tempe campus as ASU will have 7 PSY 101 lectures, ranging from 100 to 458 students each (total 2058 student capacity).</p>
<p>The upper division courses are smaller, but some are still quite large (e.g. PSY 341 and PSY 350).</p>

Tucson is a good college town and if you are deciding between the two i say UA.</p>
