I need a list of impressive/prestigious art and or writing awards on a national and regional (I live in NJ) level. I know there are the scholastic art / writing awards and youngarts but what else? I’m a high school junior and I really want to go to NYU or an ivy league.
Those are really the big national ones. Now see what you can do on a local level: start a literary initiative in local middle schools, organize an art fair, get your art exhibited in local museums, join your local writing society, etc.
