Art college burn out

I have 3 studios classes, 2 on Mondays and 1 on Saturdays. They are all 6 hours long. I also have 2 general education class, 1 on Tuesday and 1 Thursday. They are both 3 hours long. Every year i get burned out within 2 months and it shows in my grades. How can I avoid burn out

What school? Quarter or semester system?

Pace yourself and be strategic about how much effort you put into specific studios. What’s going to matter most when you graduate is your portfolio NOT your grades. So focus on the studios that are in the field you’ll want to work in. With the other classes be respectful of the professors time and projects, but don’t go all out with your time, effort or stretch yourself too thin.

It’s not an easy balance to figure out (especially so if you’re used to being a high achiever and giving everything your all) and you’ll need to make sure your grades are all still passing and adequate for whatever aid you might receive. BUT this is an important life lesson and will help you when you enter the workforce since these are very real decisions most adults make everyday in their jobs to avoid burnout.

um , give 100% effort in all you do and it wont seem like such a chore as it should be what you expect from yourself 100% of the time.
