art history for law?

hey guys whats up? I'm contemplating a few career paths. My top 2 are business (dealing with art or art director) or law. Will art history prepare me for the rigorous writing and crit. thinking involved in law? or would a english major be better. actually, i'll prob. major in art hist. and then minor in either business or english. thanks.

also, do you have to major in business or econ. to become a corporate lawyer?

I don't think either will "prepare" you better, but there is nothing wrong with art history from an admissions perspective.

I would say pick out a major that is challenging and interests you. I wouldn't worry about being prepared for law school at this point.

FWIW I majored in applied mathematics so by the time I started law school, I hadn't done any writing in years. I felt just as prepared as the English majors.

Just my humble opinion.

You don't have to study business or economics as an undergrad to become a corporate lawyer, but you should understand and enjoy those areas since they form the background of what corporate lawyers need to know in order to best serve their clients and to understand their clients' needs.
