Art History Major

<p>What are the best undergraduate schools for an art history major? I don't have much of a preference for location...just any schools that have excellent programs in art history.</p>

<p>I’m less familiar with art history programs at LACs, but Bryn Mawr and Williams have excellent programs. </p>

Williams College has one of the best art history programs in the country. Many of the directors and curators of top museums are Williams graduates, so much so that they are called the Williams mafia. There are three museums on or near campus and all offer hands-on curating experience. Summer museum internships and study abroad opportunities are also part of Williams program.</p>

<p>Other small liberal arts colleges with good art history are Wesleyan, Skidmore, Bard, Oberlin, Hamilton.

In the small liberal arts college there are some outstanding choices: Williams, Skidmore, Conn College, Wesleyan, Oberlin, Hamilton, Vassar. Smith, Barnard and Bryn Mawr if you are female.
