Art Major - Barnard or Columbia?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but…

I noticed on Barnard’s website that it didn’t have a studio art major. If I went to Barnard, would I be able to still major in art (probably double major-- say doing Anthropology at Barnard) and just take those classes at Columbia, or would I have to apply to Columbia in order to do so?

I’m asking because I like Barnard more holistically, but I might end up having to apply to Columbia instead if Barnard doesn’t give me this option.

TIA!

I quickly looked at both Barnard and Columbia's site and neither appears to offer an undergrad studio art major. Columbia has the grad school for visual arts, but not undergrad.

This area of endeavor is not one with which I am familiar, but if you are very, very sure that studio art is what you want, have you checked into schools like Pratt, Parson's or RISD? Also, check this site for threads under specific majors/arts. If an excellent liberal arts education is what you want, though, Barnard is great! Sorry not to be able to help you more...

Columbia's website is a little wonky in terms of major listings, I remember, but the visual arts site does have both undergrad and grad, you just have to look for it.
My top choices actually include Parsons and RISD, both of which I've looked into deeply. It's more of a "I want to have other options" matter, than "I wonder where I should go for studio art?" because I actually aim to pursue design. But I'm also interested in liberal arts, so Columbia/Barnard seemed like potential choices for that.
Thanks anyway!
