Art Majors

Lately I've been wondering if I should be at art school instead of a liberal arts school....honestly, I think I would rather be at an art school but it keeps coming back to one factor:money. I am recieving almost a full ride in financial aid at my current school so it'd be hard to transfer to an art school and have to take out a ton of loans.
So my question is, what kind of jobs do art majors or art school students get? What do they do with their lives and is it worth taking out the large amount in loans I would need?

Alot of art majors enter various fields, and I honestly can't say the loans are worth it or not. It really depends on the person and how talented they are in the first place and how much job in the art industry means to them. I know some people get into illustration, animation, graphic design, art direction, gallery curator (art history majors too) and so on.

Why don't you find a university with a solid art program instead that will give you financial aid as well?? that seems like the best solution.

art schools are pretty liberal with financial aid, especially if you have both artistic talent and academic ability. but academics alone (if you're not amazing at art) will most likely get you some hefty scholarships too.

there aren't many universities with solid art programs...and the ones that do are spread all over the country, and most of them are public. if the OP happens to be in the same state as one, sure, but otherwise maybe not that feasible.
