Art School admission 2018

@sbgal2011 Congrats to you son!!!

Oops for misspelling! Congrats to your son :-*

Woo-hoo, congrats to your son, @sbgal2011!!! Sounds like a great fit, and you can’t go wrong with in-state tuition!!

@sbgal2011 That’s incredible! I’ve seen your posts around the forum about how you were stuck between schools for your S and wasn’t sure if VCU Arts was a given acceptance, so glad it turned out that way!! It’s a great school!

Yay @sbgal2011 !!!
It’s so nice when things work out that way!

@sbgal2011 this is awesome news! Congrats to the both of you!

Congratulations!!

Hi, I’ve been reading over this fourm for a while now. I applied to LCAD on February 1st and I got conformation that my application was revived that day. I still have yet to hear back and it’s been a little over a month. I’ve seen that most people have fast turnaround so I’m concerned. Should I call them? Any tips on how to proceed would be apreaciated.

@Rasmina absolutely call/email them. I emailed them two weeks after my app was submitted and they replied with my acceptance letter.

My girls is home on Spring Break from SVA. She is still so very happy there! If anyone wants to connect with her that has decided, or trying to decide, she is happy to do so! So excited to hear where all these great kids end up!!!

hi! i’m so sorry if this is out of place, but i’d like to share my acceptances with you all in case any of you/your daughter or son is interested in the schools i’ve applied to! i’m so glad that this forum exists because it’s so educational and uplifting; it’s very encouraging seeing both parents and students giving each other feedback

@babytrbl Congrats on your acceptances and thanks for sharing the aid figures. Could you clarify if they are merit or need aid?

@pastelrain I just saw your post. Thank you. so you said you emailed them any tips on how to word this email. I don’t want to come off pushy or rude. Im at a loss anything would be appreciated.

@cag60093 hello, and thank you so much! these are currently all merit based

@babytrbl. That’s wonderful; thanks again for sharing. Which art major are you considering?

@cag60093 i applied to illustration for all of my schools except for saic and parsons. i applied for fashion design for those two schools

update, i just got admitted to parsons!

I saw that on your post that you got accepted to Ringling. Did u apply via early decision? My son applied to Ringling CA on regular decision but we have not received the acceptance letter, so does that mean he is rejected?

Oops…my first time posting. My last post was meant for @pastelrain who already got her acceptance letter to RINGLING. Has anyone got acceptance letter to Ringling yet?

@Killerbees18 this is what it says on their website.
