can someone provide a quick answer please, bc on the commonapp, there's no option for me to submit an art supplement. I don't know if this is because i created a new version of the commonapp just for a couple of schools and that commonapp is just being stupid, or does Northwestern really not accept the art supplement?

yeah, I want to know too!

Hey guys! I emailed northwestern personally and here is what they replied:

While you are welcome to submit an arts supplement with your application, there are several things to keep in mind. If you submit a CD/DVD or a bulky art portfolio, we cannot keep it with the rest of your application materials. Because of this, it is unlikely to be reviewed with your application. We encourage students to submit a music resume/repertoire instead of a performance CD/DVD. Artwork can be submitted as a bare-bones portfolio that can fit easily into an application folder. We also ask that you do not submit any unique materials, as it is unlikely you will get them back.

HOPE THIS HELPS! GOOD LUCK GUYS!

thanks for your reply!

BUMP. Do you think they accept like just posting a youtube link on the Art Supplement? I did this with Harvard and Stanford. Not sure if that was correct.

art supplements are usually sent in…i’m not sure where on the app you will post a youtube link? and they probably won’t look at it because they’re going to print out the apps to review them, and you can’t click on a link that’s typed on paper.
