Artistic CCers

I am not artistuc at all, but I enjoy studying art. AP Art History is very interesting. Its amazing how art becomes more advanced with time.

I LOVE THIS THREAD.

I'm an art junkie. If it weren't for homework and college essays and trying to retain some sort of social life, I would be drawing morning, noon, and night. I do some real media (colored pencil, acrylics), but most of my artwork is done digitally with Photoshop and my splendiforous Wacom tablet.

elvenqueen: I really like your most recent deviation...it's so green...and lush!

I am SO jealous.

yay! a post not about math and science or sats! anyway...

I suppose i'm a developing artist. I like the traditional drawing with pencils and charcoal...mostly realistic stuff. Though I'm not very good with color, i have been experimenting with watercolors and oil pastels.

i wish i was taking ap studio....but not enough people signed up for in our school so they couldn't offer it this year. it really stinks because it's my senior year... oh well art in college should be better anyway. i can't wait til college.

my drawings:

www.twoplustwoisfive.deviantart.com

i just recently signed up so there's not too much on there. tell me what you think though!

(by the way great thread idea)

wow menosdetres, those are amazing!!!
and yanners my favorite of yours is Spoon and Bowl (it looks so cool)

i am a good artist, i wish i could photocopy the pictures of the latin alphabet picturebook i am making for my teachers. they are SO cool (im really proud of them.. they ARE pretty awesome and so cute lol) but im too paranoid about the internet

i would never be a professional artist though. i cant deal with drawing for someone else. not because im snobby and i will only draw for myself, but because i really dont like it when other people are paying for my work.. because i never feel like it is good enough. i dont know its weird. i would die if i were a caricaturist because even though i would probably be very good at it, i would worry so much that people wouldnt like my pictures

I play the piano, draw and paint, and write poems and short stories. Im very much into pop art and modern art right now, but with so mych college.school stuff to do, it's been a while since I've really been able to sit down and express myself.

And like you guys said, recently, the only writing I've done is college essays.

Ah, I wish it would all be over so I could get back to doing something I enjoy!

playing the violin...definitely

I. Make. Collages.

I enjoy writing. I'm working on a story at the moment, but it is coming along VERY slowly (I'm too busy these days!).

elvenqueen, what do you use for digital stuff?

Language is the only artistic medium in which I have any talent, but I try to write as much as possible, particularly poetry and essays. I've recently begun to branch out into fiction as well.

I liked to draw all my life and was considered talented as a kid.
Now I am somewhat into photography but don't consider myself to be "artsy".

i do mostly black and white photography and graphic design - nmichelle.deviantart.com.

i just started doing sculpting and i must say, it's so much fun. i doubt i'm any good at it though, lol, since i can't draw (as well as i would like) to save my life.

it's surprising how much people here are artists, i thought it'd be populated only of those math/business/science folks. guess not. :)

I think it's an even split. Think about it, smart people are so closed up (not in a social sense), so there must be some escape. I love business and art stuff (marketing stuff is my second choice so that sort of combines them), but for me art wins out no matter what, because it gives me freedom.

I'm a Renaissance guy. I'm heavy into math/sciences, but also in the arts.

If Engineering doesn't pan out, I'm going to study English. My ideal is to study both.

Some of us are both... like I said, I'm also a chem/bio geek. :)

ETA: somebodynew posted before me!

Also good in math/english. Considering majors anywhere from Comp. Sci to English.

lol i'm double majoring in history and chemistry. yeh so i can be anything from a historian, lawyer to a scientist. weird lol

Straying from the studio arts...
I'm more of a performer.
I've been dancing since the age of 5, I currently take ballet, pointe, and jazz classes.
I do theater at school, and love it.
I used to play the violin, but eventually gave up on that.
I love performing... it's my passion I guess you could say.

bneg-
illustrator and photoshop cs2. all mouse, no tablet (but I have one now... hehehe).
why?
