I have an important question. I listed varities of arts and hum as top 3 choices but i dont really get the difference. For 6 people double, does it mean 6 people share two bathrooms instead of 8? As for the one with bath, how many people is in a room sharing how many bathrooms? Do you know much about IRC at parkside? How is it diff from arts and hum? Whats the student composition in each college? THnx :D

A&H and International are the same as far as I’ve seen. The rooms I have been in are 8-person suites with two bathrooms. Haven’t heard of the 6 person double but I would imagine it’s 6 people in 3 rooms, with either one or two bathrooms.

I also see no difference in the layout of the A&H and IRC. (And they are both beautiful!)

All the suites have two baths and three to four rooms. There are singles offered, so there are varying configurations.

5-person: three rooms, two are doubles, one is a single
6-person: three rooms, all are doubles
7-person: four rooms, three are doubles, one is a single
8-person: four doubles

In the cases where there is a single in the suite, it is assigned to a particular student who is paying a bit more - it isn’t available to whomever gets there first on move-in day :)

Oh, and IRC isn’t all International students - it is an International “theme.” In my daughter’s suite there were three Californians, a student from Colorado, and two from the east coast.

lol hmm i have met a lot of international people already, so i am hoping to meet ppl who grew up in the U.S. 8 ppl sharing two bathroom still sounds like crazy…lol i have to fight with my brother for the bathroom sometimes…i prolly wont do singles cuz i want to use this opportunity to room with an awesome person and befriend with him. Even though the price difference between the rooms are not that much since they are all 4,000+ -ish, but when thinking about what i can do with a couple hundred dollars…sigh

8 people sharing a bathroom is not hard. Everyone will be on different schedules. You may have an 8am class, but your suitemates may have no class that day, a 10am class or no class until 2pm!

I lived in Fluor and never had an issue sharing the bathroom with 6-8 people. It could be worse – you could choose to live in Marks and share a bathroom with 40 girls!
