Arts and sciences vs. Human eco.

im planning on applying ED next fall as a bio major.
iwhat exactly is the difference between this major at the 2 colleges?
and at the risk of sounding bad, which is easier to get into?, thanx

i think as a freshmen both arts and science and He are about the same in selectivity.

I applied toArts and science because i wanted to be more flexible.

for ED the overall acceptance rate is 44% i know. I'd say CAS is easier to get into ED even more than others because it's the most ambiguous of the colleges. It can be replaced by any other university, but engineering is at the top of the field, and things like hotel and ILR are pretty unique. just a hypothesis, get some numbers. also you've got time, you dont have to decide that until November 1st ;)

yeah I think I'm gonna go with A&S, it better fits my ECs and gives me more flexibility

Human Ecology doesn't have a bio major (it has Bio and Society and Human Bio, but not straight bio). CALS is the state school with a straight bio major. Do you mean CALS?

As far as selectively, Human Ecology is easier to get into (35% admissions rate compared to about 25% for CAS). CALS varies in its selectivity by major. Both Human Ec and CALS are easier to get into for in-state residents (and a lot cheaper too). If you are in-state, go for CALS or Human Ec. If you are not in-state, go for CAS.
