Arts/Business Majors?

Does anybody know of any schools that have combined arts (preferably film or theatre) and business degrees?

I know of these:

Creative Producing at Chapman University
Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at Columbia College Chicago
Art History/Art Management at University of San Francisco
Theatre Management at DePaul University
Theatre Arts Management at Ithaca
Sports/Entertainment/Event Management at Johnson and Wales
Arts Admistration Major at CUNY Baruch

Anyone know of any others?

I haven’t really heard of a “combined” major that you are asking about, but at my university there are many people who will double major and get the experience they need for what they are aspiring to do in a business related realm.
For example- Production degrees, theatre arts management, etc.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!

Hope this helps!

There’s Arts Administration at University of Kentucky, Shanendoah Conservatory (in VA) and University of Richmond (also in VA), and at College of Charleston (in SC).

Good luck!

Carnegie Mellon offers a BFA in Production/Technology/Management with concentrations in Entertainment and/or Event Management.

You might want to check out the program at Rider University. I know Todd Dellinger who runs the program and have a lot of respect for him:

Not sure if youve decided on where to go yet but Drexel University has an Entertainment & Arts Management Program. Check out their Facebook page to get more info!

Hi Maxiiy, I’m a freshman at Ball State University, and one of my friends is doing just that! He is double majoring in Theatrical Studies and Business, and he really seems to enjoy it. I know that is a common option of people in the Theatrical Studies major! Here is a link to where you go when you click on “Theatre Management” on the Theatre and Dance website homepage.
