arts legacy

Does anyone know specifics about the program? On the website it is pretty vague and abstract in saying basically that "it is for people who seek a smaller community within a major university and who are interested in the arts".

It seemed right for me, so that is what I've applied for, but I don't know what kind of classes I'd be taking, where I'd be living, what my distribution requirements would be, or anything else, if I were to get in. Anyone know about these things?

Thanks!

A fairly detailed description, including specific courses/required readings... is available on the Mcgill web site at Freshman Program: Arts Legacy

I'd love to know what current students in Arts Legacy think of the program. Is it what you expected? Challenging? Worthwhile?

Thanks a lot, I hadn't seen that page. I think it looks great, but would also love to hear about it from current students.

Anyone?

I spoke to a person from admissions at an info session in NYC.
She said that if you apply Arts Legacy, it means that you get priority in registering for Arts Legacy classes above regular admits. So, if you regular admit, you can still do Arts Legacy if there's space (she said there was).

However, since you still have the option of not registering for Arts Legacy classes and doing the regular Freshman program even if you apply Arts Legacy, and your app is not treated any differently, there is no disadvantage.

In a sentence:
There is no reason not to apply Arts Legacy.
