Arts Legacy vs. Normal Schedule

Can any current arts students, or students familiar with both options 1 and 2 of the freshman arts program explain the advantages of the Arts Legacy program rather than the traditional schedule? Arts Legacy seems like a really cool idea, with small class sizes and only one class every six weeks (plus semester electives), and I think the material and style of teaching sounds interesting, but it seems like such a departure from the normal college experience and I'm reluctant to choose it. Is it any harder than the normal course load? Thanks.

I think Arts Legacy is a new option, being introduced for the first time this year. It's very similar to "Arts One" programs offered at many other schools. I'm not a McGill student yet, but from what I understand, you take a set of core courses with a group of students and specific professors. You continue to take classes with the same people so you get to know your classmates pretty well. Because they tell you which courses to take, I'm assuming there are less electives, but if the content interests you I'm sure it'll be a great experience.
