Arts Supplement Discouraged...?

I don't know whether or not send in an art supplement.
I'm in many vocal ensembles in and out of school (some of which require auditions), the school musicals (I got a lead role last year), and I do the NYSSMA solo evaluations and have made it into Area All State and All County.
However, I wouldn't consider myself "amazing" or "extraordinary", but I think that I'm pretty good for a high school student.
Should I still send in a recording/schedule a live hearing?
If I'm better than most but not super-duper fantastic out of this world would it hurt me?
For example, the Princeton admissions counselor I met encouraged it, but Yale's website is pretty darn discouraging for anybody less than mind-blowing.
Opinions? Experiences? Inside knowledge

Oh, and chance me if you want...

If you’re not “amazing”, why not talk it up at an interview, rather than sending in a tape? A tape will make it seem like you’re auditioning. Although it wouldn’t hurt you, submitting the tape will make it appear as if you think you’re “amazing”, and if you’re not, well…

Use it in an interview to paint a picture of yourself, to let them know who you are, to shine above somebody who has your stats but is not in vocal ensembles. Display it as an interest, something that makes you you, and the best place to do this is in an interview. Even better if you can throw it in after the interviewer says “I see you got an 800 on your math SAT. Nice, very nice.”

IMO, those who love and participate the arts, but who are not “amazing”, have a great opportunity to show themselves in a beautiful light, without the stress of “auditioning”. This is an asset, if you present it in the right way.

Pay attention to the parameters of conservatory level ability (and above), particularly at Yale. If the rep from Princeton suggested you submit, then follow through, but do not dismiss the parameters set forth by Yale. If you have professional level assessment that you are at least of conservatory level, it might be worth sending a supp to Yale, but do not expect it to sway an admissions outcome.

Each of the Ivys treat these differently.
