artsy fartsyyy

Hello all.

Is there a college in particular that is known for being "artsy"? and by that I do not mean art art, as in RISD...But to give you a picture I guess, a where students sit around on the green grass singing together to a guitar, writing poems under trees, etc? I guess a 'liberal vibe' would be a better term.. i.e. Skidmore?!

Are there any colleges like these in the Ivy League??

Looking into Vassar, Bard, Sarah Lawrence, Bennington, Hampshire, Oberlin and Eugene Lang would be a good start. Maybe Wesleyan and Kenyon? Smith if you’re female.

Of the schools in the Ivy League, Brown and maybe Yale come closest to what you describe.

Liberal arts schools are better known for that. On another level from Ivies but much cheaper in raw cost of attendance, UNC-Ashville is known for that kind of atmosphere.
