As pretty as Duke

<p>I think that Duke has one of the prettiest college campuses. That church is amazing. What are some other American schools that look like Duke?</p>

<p>Vanderbilt does not look like Duke (which I consider a good thing). Anyway, I hear Duke and Princeton look very much alike. I think Emory and Suwanee also have the castle-y feel to their campuses.</p>

<p>Duke West campus has gothic architecture, east campus is georgian, there are a lot of schools with the latter. I know Yale and UChicago have a lot of gothic buildings as well</p>

<p>Duke's East Campus has a bit of a UVA feel to it.</p>

<p>It's a beauty is in the eye of the beholder thing. Duke West is pretty nice--it's like your walking along in the middle of a giant chess match.
IMHO East doesn't compare, but there are quite a few schools where the overall campus isn't uniform and subtracts from the whole: U-Dub (Quad, older buildings nice--"Red Square" eysesore; UNC older part around Franklin Street nice--Medical campus ouch.
Other handsome campuses:
Princeton
Richmond
Rochester
UVA, but again just the older sections of the grounds...</p>

<p>Yeah...when I went to visit Pomona, I was expecting to be impressed with it's beauty...but I was apalled. Gothic architecture is definitely more my style. Any schools that have this, but are a bit easier to get into than Duke?</p>
