Hm. Interesting. Valedictorian. Perfect grades. Near perfect/ perfect test scores. Great ECs.

3.14/7.28 or worse shots at HYPSM. In at the others.

Of course you can turn things "180 degrees" and get into all those schools with spectacular essays.

Good luck.

hahaha! JDorian you are so funny :)

I<3Pi, I think that you have a great shot at the ivies, a lot of people from my school last year had much lower stats than you and got into ivies. and I'm from vancouver too!

Thanks guys :] Anyone else? Please? I actually don't have much resources here so I need your opinions.

Bloodandrust, are you from a private or a really good public school in Vanvouver though? I'm from a large mediocre public school and only 1 person got into an Ivy last year (I think he was the only one who applied).

Bump.

Come on guys... I'm not from the US and NEED to know if it's worth it to actually apply to these schools!!

Yes it is well worth it. UCB, UCLA, UCSD= in.
You will probably get into a handful of the IVYs/stanford, and probably at least one of HYPS. MIT looks good.

In your case, leaving Canada would be a great idea because you can get into MANY top US schools, and chances are, at many, you may get huge scholarships.

You could be looking at presidential scholarships to Berkeley and UCLA. At least, that is if they award them to OOS, which i think they do.

Definitely apply. Many of the schools you can get into here in the US are much better than ones in canada, and not only that, but the top schools here that you can get into are prestigious worldwide, which sadly some of the top canadian Universities arent (the only 2 probably being Toronto and McGill that are well known in a handful of places outside the US, but still not that much)

simply amazing
perfect grades, spectacular scores, and those awards are pretty impressive :)

I wouldn't be surprised if you got into all.
But I think you will for sure get into MIT (because you are female) and AT LEAST one of HYP. The hardest would probably be Stanford, because Stanford is stingy to internationals who ask for aid.

But anyways, GREAT WORK!

in everywhere, unless your essays suck.

Thanks to everyone's who's commented. Ahah I do hope you guys are right! My main concern is my status as an international applicant...

Haha, I really have nothing to say. I also live in Vancouver and have seen millions of US college applicants but you, I gotta say WHOA LOL
Your status will not affect your application unless adcoms have a major headache or some kind of blurred vision during your app review XD
At least 2~3 of Ivys/MIT/Stanford, and UCs will be a breeze.
God, I wish I had stats like that of yours :)

Lolz, Canada is just next to the US. Imagine a guy from the Far East trying to get in..

MIT, 9:1 odds of acceptance unless you mess up essays. You might even get into 2 or more of hpys. Brilliant app.

Ahh thank you everyone :]

I forgot to add that I'm also submitting an art portfolio along with a recommendation from my art teacher... that should help as well no?

Anyone else? Suggestions for improvement?

wow keep up the good work!

the only one i think you'll have difficulty getting in is MIT cuz they only take 2 or so canadians each year, and they are all on the IMO team :S
for the UCs, i don't think they offer a lot of fin. aid to internationals :(
you have great chances!

MIT only takes 2 Canadians per year?! No way... that's just cruel. Yeah the UC's have no financial aid to internationals. Thanks for your input!

Hot Damn...That's the kind of stuff I'd like to have...If I weren't an Asian Male in one of the more competitive public NJ schools, maybe I would. Gratz on your accomplishments and you may have the satisfaction of knowing that I am deeply envious. A prospective science major (which I'm assuming you are) can't have a much better application than that!
