I’m an applicant as well, and I couldn’t find a thread for 2015-2016 candidates, so I thought this would really help!

I got notified that I’m a finalist! I don’t know if that guarantees a scholarship though. I was also wondering if APIASF is strict on the transcripts you upload after being a finalist because my school’s official transcripts aren’t unweighted or on a 4.0 scale.
@justthatkid Congratulations! I’m not so sure about that either… You can send APIASF with an email asking about that

I also received a notification saying I am a finalist, but do you know what the chances are? @justthatkid

still no word… finalists should have received an email asking about financial aid confirmation, so I guess that means that I’m not a finalist 
Late March I was selected as a Finalist for the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship and today is May 5th and I still haven’t received any status update on whether I’ve received the scholarship or not. When do they let all the finalist know about there status? Has anyone received anything yet?
For most of the scholarships my D applied last couple years, they only notify the winners. I guess this may be the case too.
This is not “most” scholarships. All finalists will definitely be notified.
@yash1220 - It’s possible there’s some delay in the notifications. According to this post, there were some glitches in the status updates last year during the finalist notification stage (in March), so maybe this is something similar:
Do a search (of the entire CC website) and see what you can find. If that doesn’t help, call APIASF and ask - their phone number is on their website.

Thank You dodgersmom, I looked at the 2014 page and it seems like most people for notified at the end of April. I will soon be calling APIASF.
@yash1220 I emailed APIASF and they told me that they would notify all finalists of their status sometime this month.
@justthatkid I e-mailed them and got the same response but thanks for telling me.
Do you know how many finalists there are and how many actually get the scholarship?
Hey guys, Asian & Pacific Islander American scholarship updates are coming out today. I received an e-mail today at 12:00 PM saying that I received the wells Fargo scholarship. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped me out.
