Aside from the CommonApp - anything else?

Hey everyone,

I'm an international student applying to the States, so I'm not super super familiar with the whole application process - which is a bit worrisome, since the deadline is about 10 days away.

I was wondering: aside from completing the CommonApp, having my teachers and counselor filling their respective parts and uploading the school transcripts, and sending the official score tests to the universities via CollegeBoard, do I need to do anything else? Do I need to send any paper document to the universities?

I've heard that I have to send paper copies of the school transcripts to the universities... Really? Even if I have them uploaded by my counselor on the CommonApp?

And one last thing: since my transcripts are originally in French, do I only need to submit the translated versions? Or do I need to attach the original documents along with the translated ones? Again, can I do everything online via CommonApp, or do I have to use mail?

Thanks so much for your time!

regarding your transcript it wouldn’t hurt to send in the translated version attached actually that’s probably the best thing to do. Most things you can do online, but your transcript has to be in a sealed enveloped sent from your school guidance counselor, but if it was uploaded on the common app already you don’t have to send it again. I’m pretty sure that’s all you have to do bc i submitted all my app already and that is about all i had to do. But i would suggest checking your email and use the school’s application status to see if the school require anything else from you. and if you are missing anything
