Is there another payment for ci ?

yogaj55: your parents have to pay $150 for each parent (and sibling) who wants to go. Plus they have to buy a hotel which, if in DC, is $120 per day minimum.

Your room, board and experience is “free”. I use quotes because it comes out of your deposit.

just a general question.
How is GW business school?

@littlepolitician, I live 20 mins outside of DC, and I go clubbing about twice a month. I’ve been to all of the major clubs in DC (Fur, Lima, Ultrabar, District, 9:30, etc) and I can tell you this: it’s not as bad as you think.

If you’re a girl, that is.

These clubs always have promotions that get girls and very rarely guys in for free or for $5-10 before a certain time (usually 11).

And girls get free jello shots every Friday at Ultrabar, and it’s very easy for them to get guys to buy them drinks, whether they’re over 21 or not. My 18 y/o friends who are girls always score free drinks at DC clubs.

Guys, on the other hand, always will have to pay for drinks. There are no promotions for us, ever. And our cover is almost always higher than the girls’ (unless you go to a gay bar; if you swing that way, you’ll be spending most of your nights in DuPont Circle).

As an underclassman, partying won’t be THAT expensive, even if you’re a guy. You drink at the dorm, hop on the metro, get there before 11, and your cover will usually be $10 or less.

Once you turn 21 (or get your fake), it becomes more expensive if you plan on buying drinks at the club. (The most common strategy for guys is to drink beforehand and only buy drinks for girls at the club.)

I’ll be a freshman at GW next year, and I can’t wait. DC is such a fun city. You’ll love it. It is expensive, but it’s manageable.

I like the flexibility of the dining plan but I heard the food was pretty expensive. Is $3,400 enough for the school year? Are there inexpensive alternatives to the campus dining venues?

Nate, you’ll certainly have a refrigerator and microwave. You can fit in some cheap meals by buying frozen food and microwaving, or having cereal or yogurt for breakfast. Bring disposable plates, bowls, and utensils.

There is always Subway for lunch or dinner.

do you share a bathroom with the room next to you in potomac?

can you choose the people you share the bathroom with? like 4 people request eachother for potomac and then they get split into 2 rooms and share a bathroom?

Yes you do! I think there is one exception and its the handicap room on the first floor.

I don’t think you can, but you should definitely email the gwhousing for that answer!

What do you think about Crawford for freshmen dorm choice? I think I’m picking that as 1st in the housing application, but I’m worried that it’s going to be too small/quiet…

I’m considering rushing and I’ve looked at all the sororities. Is it possible to join one without drinking? Are there any particular ones that are less focused on partying?
