Ask a current UCR freshman anything!

ID? you get it during bearfacts.

No you don’t. When you go move in they give you an envelope (or something) with your ID

When you move into the dorms you will be given your student ID, keys, an info packet, etc. If you don’t get your student ID with your move-in package then you can stop by the 2nd floor at the HUB to pick it up.

oh right. lololol i don’t remember anymore. hahah… you took your picture during bearfacts. my baaad.

Hello, I had a question about the first payment due on 9/15.
I honestly don’t know when I should pay because my balance keeps changing! A few weeks ago, all my financial aid stuff added onto my payment, decreasing it. And then just yesterday, another 100 bucks got docked off and I’m just confused that if I pay right now, something else will pop up into my current activity and I’d have paid too much or not enough if I just went ahead and paid the amount due right now. Any advice?

Well, in the event that you pay too much, you’ll get your money back in a few weeks through direct deposit

Just pay a week before 9/15. By then, everything should be settled for sure. If not, call in and ask for the accurate amount that you are supposed to pay.

But what whiteclock said is true. The money will be refunded to you in the event that you did pay too much.

alright, thanks you guys :)

the rooms in east lo come with ethernet cables right? and with how many? 1?..2?

You’ll get the same number of ethernet cables as there are residents

so yeah… doubles will get two, triples will get three

I’ve been reading about refunds and direct deposits but do I have an option to apply the overpayment to the next quarter rather than get a refund?

Is direct deposit the way to go?

Direct deposit IS the way to go haha

you can only get a refund… no rollover funds lol

I hear that UCR has no frat row…so where do frats/sororities live?

no UCs beside davis have an official frat row. The frat houses are scattered around the ucr neighborhood

Not having a frat row definitely detracts from the overall “collegeness” of UCR…

:/

if there were a sorority row I’d move in next door right on the spot :D

ahaha you and me both

It’s also a little bit of a bummer not having a football team to inject unified school pride but oh well, we live

Block Party, Heat and Spring Splash are all pretty cool

Hi ill be staying in an E. Lothian Double. I was wondering if i need to buy an office chair and lamp, or do they provide you with it?

It is provided, except for the lamp… there is a light on the desk installed? if you want an individual lamp, then you will need to buy one.

Can somebody tell me how much more space an East Lothian triple has compared to a double?

^I second that, except for a Pentland triple?
