Ask a current Vassar first-yr!

Thank you @jenkub118 for responding. That is really helpful information! I couldn’t tell before if it was a majority of the student body who is angry and combative or just a small but loud group. That makes me feel much better!
I was wondering if anyone could speak to the green initiatives on campus?
Also, on the topic of diversity, do you find the student body to truly be diverse or are they just pushing that? How has the diversity of the student body and faculty changed your worldview?

Hello all! I’m currently deciding between Northeastern University and Vassar College as a neuroscience major. If anyone can touch on Vassar’s neuroscience program? And just science in general at Vassar and how it would help me in the future when applying to med school, that’d be really helpful. I’ve been really struggling to make a decision and I’m not sure if an LAC or an R1 research university is best for me. (especially struggling with this May 1st deadline!!)

@petreolbree - I can’t address most of your questions, but as far as admission to medical school is concerned, over the last five years 87% (on average) of those who applied through Vassar were accepted to medical school; 76% of seniors who applied to medical school were accepted in 2017 (national average was 46%).
