<p>I still don’t exactly understand the roommate selection process as an incoming freshman. If you don’t do the profile search thing, do they place you based on your answers to the questionnaire (the one that asked if you like quiet or to keep your room warm or cold, ect.), or is it completely random?

<p>@EduFuture57: I am not 100% positive but as students we/you are told that it isn’t completely random…those questions you answered SHOULD factor into the roommate process just because those are basic living situation issues and NYU would like there to be minimal issues regarding housing. </p>

No, there is not student parking around NYU…there are lots you can park your car at for extended periods of time but it is INCREDIBLY expensive.</p>

<p>Actually I heard NYU Greek life is pretty big as of last year - 10% of 20,000 students seems like a lot to me.</p>
