Asking a teacher for a rec

Well this is kind of a stupid question, but yea~~~
Is my teacher going to be annoyed if I ask him for a rec (for a summer program) after I had asked him for another rec a few weeks ago?
XP thx...

I always feel awkward. So I just gave the teachers my stuff all at once, assuring them that they could do minimal work to suffice all the programs' requirements. In your situation, well, you could ask very nicely. Many times, programs just ask for a letter, so i bet he can make some minor modifications on each letter to suit your needs. But it's your judgment call. If he seems overwhelmed with work or didn't respond very enthusiastically to your first request, then you should consider someone else.

I email my teachers. Takes some of the awkwardness out of it. Next time, maybe you should ask him to save the letter to his computer just in case you need another one, so he could just change it a little if he needs to but make his life easier.

You shouldn't email your teachers when asking for recommendations. You should ask them face-to-face unless they've moved, etc. There's a thread in the college admissions forum that tells you how to ask for recs next time.
