Hi, so I’m quite worried that I haven’t been asked by UCLA for winter grades yet because I’m a one year transfer who is missing one pre-req as a psych major. I’ve read on here that people who are in similar situations as me (missing pre-reqs and one years) have been asked to send them in. I’m missing chem which I currently taking this winter quarter but I won’t know my finalized grades until early April because the quarter ends on March 29. On the UC application it does have you mention what kind of system your CC is and I do go to one of the few quarter system CC’s so maybe they’ll request for them later when I have my grades? Is that possible? And should I even be worrying about this because right now it feels like I’m not in the running and they’re like dismissing my application. Other than the chem pre-req, I have a high gpa (3.96, one A-), finished all the other pre-reqs with an A, and I feel like my essays were pretty good.
Additional info requests go out randomly. Not everyone gets them - there is no reason to stress about it.
@HeyItsNick But considering the fact that psych is an extremely impacted major and UCLA requires them to be done by spring and preferably by fall, they should be asking for my grade. And because I’m a one year transfer, I have less classes for admissions to go off of than a two year transfer. Idk I just think I’m super anxious about this whole waiting period. Thanks tho!
@npound No, they don’t necessarily have to be asking for your grade. Like I said, the requests go out randomly - people are never really sure why some get it while others do not. I have read posts that it is due to quality assurance to ensure applications are truthful.
Once again, don’t sweat it. In the end, you can’t control it even if it does matter! We only have a month left until we found out decisions.
