Asking your advice for SSAT score reporting

Hi,

I have tested SSAT two times.

  • Test at 10/19/2019
    Verbal: 767 (95%)
    Quantitative 797 (97%)
    Reading 725 (92%)
    Total 2289 (97%)
  • Test at 11/16/2019 Verbal: 716 (78%) Quantitative 800 (99%) Reading 731 (94%) Total 2247 (94%)

Do I have to send the first test score only or both?
I know that some schools superscore but I have a concern about my verbal score in the second test which is too low.

Can I get your advice?

In no way do you need to send both scores in for all of your schools. I haven’t sent my scores in yet but I’m pretty sure you can send both scores to schools who superscore and only your first one to the ones who aren’t. I’m not sure if any schools really look to carefully at your individual scores, but I can’t be sure. Best of luck to you!

If you are worried just send the October scores. You scored well enough for admission to any school in the US. There is no way, absolutely no way that score will get you nixed from a school. If you don’t get in somewhere it’s because of something else.

Worrying about scores like those is totally pointless!!

Why did you retake the SSAT when you already had a current valid score of 97% out of a possible 99% ?

Both scores are amazing. Personally I don’t see much upside in terms of the super scoring even for schools that do super score and a (teeny tiny) downside to the 78 being being sent. I’d personally just send the first score and be done with it.

Thank you all for your kind suggestion.
As most of you suggest, I am going to send my October score.

My parents allow me to apply top boarding schools only, so I wanted to increase my chances even a little more if possible.

Good luck to all of you as well!

with your October scores super scoring wouldn’t give you a better chance. It is a myth that a great ssat gets you into a school. No school is comparing a 99% and a 95 % and picking which kid gets in because of the score.
