<p>I will actually be a senior at a university this upcoming Fall.
Is it too late to become a RN? After I graduate, what can I do? An associate degree in nursing? So an ASN? Is an ASN something that you can do after you complete a college degree? Where can I find a list of schools that offer an ASN, IF that is, I can do that and still be an RN. How many years is it?
I am majoring in biology right now, so I have pretty much taken all of the prerequisites. Its just too late to apply to a nursing program, since it will be my 4th year this upcoming Fall.
What are my options right now, as it is too late to change my major in college.
Also, what are some classes that are recommended for me to take right now? Philosophy, history, sociology, etc. classes? Ive already taken some psychology classes.
Thank you!</p>
<p>There are some schools, Duke and Georgetown that I know of off the top of my head, that allow a degreed student get a BS in nursing in about 1 1/2 years. Here is a link to Duke’s program: [Academic</a> Programs - Duke University School of Nursing - Accelerated BSN Program](<a href=“http://nursing.duke.edu/modules/son_academic/index.php?id=2]Academic”>http://nursing.duke.edu/modules/son_academic/index.php?id=2)</p>
<p>This link might help; it’s a list of schools that offer a 2-year BSN program for people who already have an undergrad degree in another subject.</p>

<p>You could also consider a BS to MS in nursing program. FYI Nurse Practioner is moving to Doctorate as entry level in 2015</p>
