<p>Since you probably know nyc very well, I’m guessing you know about several schools there: NYU, Columbia, Hunter’s. There’s Pratt, Parson’s, FIT, Cooper Union (free to those who get in!), CUNY, The New School, SVA, etc. etc. There also many schools to consider if you’d want to be ‘just outside’ nyc: SUNY at Purchase, Bard, and Sarah Lawrence might be good fits too.</p>

<p>Finally, the advertising biz is having a really tough time in this economy, so finding a job in that business is difficult. Many companies are reducing their advertising budget, and there’s a lot of turmoil in media (print/newspaper/television/cable/direct mail/ etc.) Do you see yourself as a freelancer? What type of art: graphics? photography? Since you already have a clear goal, I suggest you also speak with those in the field for their recommendations.</p>
