Well, I’ve heard from all my schools and received all of the financial packages. I intent to major in some form of engineering, most likely aerospace engineering. However, this is likely to change which is why I have listed some schools that don’t even have said major. If given the choice and these options, which would you attend?

Penn State w/ Schreyer Honors College and $2500/yr

Tufts University w/ $21000/yr

Villanova University w/ $18000/yr

Lehigh University w/ $18000/yr

University of Rochester w/ 17000/yr

I am fairly certain I am going with Penn State. Note that it costs about 10000 or more less than the others to begin with so the cost of the colleges doesn’t vary much between them. However, I have noticed that most of my grants at the other schools are need-based, which means if I get any outside scholarships I will not actually be getting any money - it will simply be deducted from the institutions need based award. So, penn state may be even cheaper. Also, I really liked penn state. I’ve visited twice and it seems to fit me well. I’ve heard the honors college and penn state engineering are highly regarded as well. However, I realize that some of the above colleges may have nicer facilities as well as a better reputation. What would you guys do in my situation?
