Assistant Profesor or Mentor Positions? Please Help

Greetings,

I am a student studying hospitality management overseas, and I will earn my Bachelors in Feb.2013. For the past 6 months during my studies and summer break, I have been looking for a job just in time before I graduate but the only 2 positions offered that I have found so far were housekeeper and insurance salesman.

I am currently being more open to other industries or professions for the sake of finding a decent job. To at least have an average salary to pay off my student loans and to also support my family. Recently I have decided to open my options towards becoming a professor or even assistant professor at a university or college.

My experience as of Feb.2013 are a Bachelors Degree in hospitality management. Associate Degree from a 2 year college for Liberal arts and Sciences. And 2 years total work experience as cashier, waiter, housekeeper and night auditor at various hotels and restaurants from my internships.

Any advice on how to get the job I want or what procedures I must do to get this job, please contact me.

Most any college teaching position in the U.S. requires at least a master’s degree and often there is a preference for Ph.D.s.

There are many, many resorts and amusement parks in the U.S. they hire hospitality professionals, but people often start at low-level jobs.

You don’t need to make a new thread in each forum every time you want to post

I was hoping the more threads I post, the more answers I get.

At the very least you will need a Master’s degree – one of the best schools in the US in this field is Cornell. More info here:
