ASU, Barrett Honors College OOS?

I am an incoming freshman from NJ who plans to major in some field of engineering. I want to become a tech entrepreneur after college. I got into Rutgers University (honors)($32,000), University of Delaware (honors)($32,000), and Lehigh University (Integrated business and engineering honors program)($42,000). The numbers included tution, room, board, transportation, ect, but they may become lower as I am trying to negotiate more affordable prices. Also note that my parents will cover an additional $15,000.

I want to go to a school where I can meet very smart people, so that I can make connections to create a tech startup after graduating. Not sure about graduate school right now, but it is a possibility if I still desire to attend MIT/Stanford after college graduation. I have a 1490 composite sat, 3.85 UW GPA, and am in the top 3% of my class.

I was admitted into ASU Barrett Honors College. In total it would cost $28k per year, before my parents $15k contribution. I like the school because of the beautiful weather and girls, however I would only attend if I knew a few more things about the school.

My mom’s friend lives in Phoenix and told my mom that her son’s friends were very smart and went to Barrett, but hated it because the classes were easy and everyone was dumb. The kids said that Barrett felt like high school. I keep finding mixed things on Barrett. Some say its good, while others say it is a gimmick. Is there anyone from the northeast, who was at the top of their high school class, that has attended Barrett and can make any comments on this? Or better yet, any opinions on whether I should choose Barrett over my other schools?

Like I said, I want to go to a school where I will meet brilliant people and that will provide me with the best resources for a successful future. Education and opportunity is my priority; Nice weather and hot women are bonues

Thanks for any help.
