ASU - California Transfer student

Backdrop:

After a pitiful first year, I have upped my GPA to 2.8 and after the spring 2014 plan to have over a 3.0. I am a resident of southern california, scored an 1800 on my SAT out of HS in 2012. Applied to SDSU, CSUF, and CSULB knowing my chances were not looking too hot to gain admission to any of my local in-state schools, I have now applied to ASU being that they offer a great Criminal Justice program. Ideally I would like to stay in state, and even moved to San Diego this august and have been going to 2 different Community Colleges, so should I not make it this was essentially my last option. Ironically my last option is becoming more and more appealing the more I learn about the school, campus, and the other aspects of the University.

So there you have it, chance me!

2.8 GPA,–>3. something after spring 2015 semester
1800 SAT
AS-T in Admin of Justice (Spring 2015 completion)

Meant to put after spring 2015 I plan to have over 3.0 in my original post.

Thanks!

According to the common data set for ASU, minimum GPA for OOS transfers is 2.5 and they have a 85% acceptance rate. Unfortunately, it did not distinguish between In-state and OOS transfer applicants. I think you have a very good chance.

That brings me a bit of relief, thank you for your time and opinion.

Anybody else care to chime in? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick

Are you going through the ASU Guaranteed Program for Admission for CCC students?

Your AS-T should be acceptable to those CSUs.

I am not as far as I know. I believe you have to sign up for that and I never did because I wasn’t originally considering ASH until recently.

Anyone?
