Title says it all. I'm a California resident who is trying to decide between going to ASU (not a top choice of mine) or going to a CC, joining the TAP program, and hopefully get myself into UCLA or USC.

I don't want to miss out on the social life aspect of college, which I won't get with CC. Basically, I'm a loser and I don't have friends now. This is why the thought of being a loser for another two years gets me down. Can anyone give me some advice?

I was in the same situation as you 1 year ago, and I chose to do the latter. Im at a CC right now and am hoping to transfer to a really good school. I dont really mind the social aspect of it anyway, since my friends who did go off to 4-years enjoyed the social aspect of it for the first week, the 2nd tops.

If you wanna pay $50k to party, be my guest. CC is a much smarter option. Just be social and join clubs. I’m a HUGE party goer… and to be honest, it gets jaded after a while.
