ASU or OSU

I have the option to transfer to ohio state and arizona state after completing my freshmen year elsewhere.

I am a business major focusing on CIS (i do not have to stick with this major, it just seems like a good choice at the moment)

what should i do?

i would consider any major in business that these two fine schools offer. im looking for the highest average salary from an undergraduates degree (best double major combos included)

which one is better?

Ohio State’s Fisher School of Business is ranked fairly high annually, much higher than ASU’s.

But there are obviously other factors to consider. They’re both very large, for one thing. I’m not entirely sure about ASU but OSU is located in a very urban environment.

But if you’re looking strictly at prestige/ranking in business programs, OSU is much higher.

I don’t know where you’re getting that . . .

Academic Ranking of World Universities - Business / Economics, 2011:

Arizona State # 21
Ohio State # 26

USNWR ranked OSU Fisher as a top 25 school. I think in 2010…? I know using “much higher” was an exaggeration but I do know it’s generally ranked higher, i.e. BusinessWeek, USNWR. I doubt many publications rank ASU higher…

Cost? Your state residency?

Does “freshman year elsewhere” allow inexpensive community colleges? Do ASU and OSU both have articulation listings for the schools you are likely to attend for freshman year? What requirements must you meet to transfer?

Are you instate for one of these schools?

Have you gotten aid packages from these schools?

Are you in college now or are you still in high school?

Partaay at ASU!!!

freshmen year was completed at a 4-year university (inferior to both schools).

i will not receive any aid aid/ in-state tuition.

Which school has the undergraduate business degree with the highest salary/ employability?

I’d imagine OSU.

actually ASUs CIS undergraduate degrees average starting salary is 59,000.

higher than any undergraduate degrees average starting salary at OSU

Can you afford either school being OOS?

OSU tuition OOS for a grad degree is roughly 25k a year. That’s a lot without aid.

OP is going for a UG degree.

I think it’s the same…maybe 24k? I may be wrong, if I am it’s only by a couple thousand.

both schools will cost just over 20G for me to attend so that isnt really a deciding factor
