<p>My son is having a hard time deciding between the two. His major is Political Science.</p>
<p>haha im exactly in the same situation as your son, i cant decide which one to go to.
did he apply/get into barrett’s? that was a significant factor in my decision. from reading student reviews and such, it seems excellent and offers great opportunities and is causing me to lean towards ASU.</p>
<p>despite this, i still really like because UCSC its about an hour away which is very convenient, especially over 4 years while ASU is really far and can be quite expensive in transportation costs. i guess this would also be a factor in your son’s decision</p>
<p>Transportation is not a issue-- his sister goes to SFState. He was not too happy there in Santa Cruz… He has scholarship to pay for tuition at both, but is leaning towards ASU… He really liked it there. His scholarship is greater at UCSC but ASU housing is cheaper. At this point, he should stick with ASU. He already did his orientation and everything.</p>
